Neutering
Neutering is the term given to the surgical sterilization of your pet to ensure that they cannot reproduce and have unwanted litters. Learn more about neutering.
All of the prices below, with the exception of cat castrations, include post-operative pain relief to ensure the comfort of your pet when recovering.

Written prescriptions
You may obtain Prescription Only Medicines, Category V, (POM-Vs) from your veterinary surgeon OR ask for a prescription and obtain these medicines from another veterinary surgeon or a pharmacy. The cost of a single use written prescription for 1 drug is £18.00.
A prescription may not be appropriate if your animal is an in-patient or immediate treatment is necessary as we require 24hours notice to provide a prescription.
Your veterinary surgeon may prescribe POM-Vs only for animals under their care, and therefore your request for a written prescription may be declined at the descretion of the vet. The general policy of this practice is to re-assess an animal requiring repeat prescriptions every 3 months, but this may vary with individual circumstances. The standard charge for a re-examination is £39.50.
You will be informed, on request, of the price of any medicine that may be dispensed for your animal. Further information on the prices of medicines is available on request.
